Cherries Help with Arthritis Pain

A pilot study at Baylor Research Institute, USA has demonstrated how Montmorency cherry capsules may be a promising, natural solution for joint pain.  In the study, the majority of the participants, experienced a significant improvement in osteoarthritis relief and joint function after taking the cherry capsules for eight weeks.
Osteoarthritis, the most common type of arthritis, is considered degenerative and typically affects the hands, feet, spine and large, weight-bearing joints, such as the hips and knees.  Patients with osteoarthritis of the knees were enrolled in this pilot study to assess the potential efficacy of the cherry supplement.
Lead researcher, Dr J Cush, commented, "Montmorency tart cherries are one of the best studied natural products and anecdotally has been claimed to have a salutary effect on osteoarthritis and other types of arthritis as well," including GOUT.
